Children need healthy meals to learn. Goochland County Public Schools offers healthy meals every school day. Student breakfast costs $ 1.15 for Elementary and 1.25 for Secondary. Lunch costs $2.30 for Elementary and $2.40 for Secondary. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. Reduced price breakfast costs $.30 cents and lunch costs $ .40 cents. All meals served must meet standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. However, if a student has been determined by a doctor to be disabled and the disability prevents the student from eating the regular school meal, the school will make substitutions prescribed by the doctor. If a substitution is prescribed, there will be no extra charge for the meal. If your student needs substitutions because of a disability, please contact Lisa Landrum at 556-5604 for further information. For more information on free and reduced price meals at school, read our letter that went home to households at the start of the 2012-13 SY.

For the 2012-2013 school year, we strongly encourage all parents (even if you do not prepay for your student’s meal account) to create an account at no cost through www.mypaymentsplus.com.
