Destination ImagiNation

Does your child have great ideas? Think outside the box? Have an awesome imagination? This might be just the thing for them!
There will be an informational meeting this Thursday evening at 7:00 in the GES cafeteria.

Destination ImagiNation is an after school enrichment program that encourages teamwork, builds problem solving skills, and enhances creativity.  It is hands on, fun, and a great learning experience.  Teams of up to seven members work together for eight to twelve weeks to create a solution to a Team challenge. Challenges may have a theatrical, structural, improvisational, scientific, or technical focus. In addition, teams learn to develop creative answers for an Instant Challenge portion of the competition, which requires quick thinking skills. In March, teams from throughout the region come together to compete.
Visit the Destination ImagiNation site to get more information.

Are you a Blue Ribbon Winner?

Do you love to read? Do you go to the Field Day of the Past each year? Well - you are well on your way to being a Blue Ribbon Winner.
Teachers handed out blue forms to each child the first week of school. All that simply needs to be done is to record 10 books that have been read and turn the form into teachers by September 15th. Then on September 20th, at 3:00 pm, at the Field Day of the Past, you will be recognized! You will receive your ribbon and a goody bag from the fair. We hope that GES has a great turnout and lots of Blue Ribbon Winners!
