Students (and teachers) were allowed to wear a hat to school on Tuesday, November 17th, if they donated at least a dollar to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. If we raised $300, Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Zorger, Reading Teacher, Mrs. Casteel, and 4th Grade Teacher, Mrs. Parrish agreed to have their hair cut for Locks of Love and Pantene Beautiful Lengths. We raised $335!!! And were able to donate a total of 26 inches of hair! Mrs. Gordon cut the hair during a school wide assembly, Friday afternoon. We also had a representative from Goochland’s very own Salon Karma to help out with the cutting and a representative from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to accept our donation. WAY TO GO GES STUDENTS AND STAFF!
