Destination Imagination Celebration
Did you hear the news? Goochland Elementary School had six Destination Imagination teams compete in the regional tournament this past Saturday. All of the students did an amazing job and we are so proud of them! And… two of our teams qualified to compete at the state level on March 31st!!!!!!

What an Evening!
Students, Parents, Teachers and Staff:
Thank you so much for your unwavering support and assistance in a very disappointing evening for our school. I want to thank you all for your positive attitudes and teamwork during this trying situation. It was a very difficult decision for me to stop the 3-5 Luau but without our phone system, intercom, system, fire alarm and lights operation, safety became an issue. We all know that the safety of our students must be the first priority. If the power had gone out before students were dismissed from school we would have been able to send them home on the bus. We would have had no way to respond and/or communicate if the weather had turned threatening. You all handled the situation with such grace. I am so thankful to have all of you as a part of Goochland Elementary!

Parents,
It has come to my attention that the Goochland Food Bank is struggling to fill their shelves this month. Please take the time, if possible, to make a donation. We have partnered with the food bank in the past and I felt that you would like to know of this great need in your community. Feel free to send your donations to the school and we will get them to the food bank. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
