As part of the National Give Kids a Smile Day, the VCU School of Dentistry Pediatric Dental Clinic will be providing services free of charge to children without dental insurance coverage. Between 7a.m. and 3:30p.m., the clinic will provide services such as screenings, cleanings, extractions, and minor restorative work. The staff is committed to doing as much work as possible on that day, starting with the most urgent needs. Large numbers of participants are expected, so please be patient.

Walk-ins will be taken, but appointments are encouraged. Call 828-9095 to make appointment for your child. 

Get Hypnotized!

The Goochland High School Drama Department presents the Jason Linett Comedy Hypnosis Show on Monday, February 9 at 6:00p.m. at the High School auditorium. The Drama Department will also present a special improv opening act.

Come enjoy this fun, clean comedy act and help the Drama Department raise funds for their trip to New York City.

Admission is $6 and tickets are on sale now.

Super Bowl Chili

The Goochland County Band Boosters announces their 2nd Annual Super Bowl Chili sale.

The price per quart is $6.

Place your orders with any band student, or by calling Pam Gannon at (804) 363-2337.

Pick up your orders on Friday, January 30th between 3:30 and 6:00p.m. at the GHS cafeteria, or on Saturday, January 31st between 8:00 and 9:30a.m. at Grace Church Parrish House.

Chili will also be sold to the public from 9:00 until noon, at the church.

Concert at GHS

Everyone is invited to the GHS Symphonic and Jazz Band Winter Concert on Thursday, January 15 at 7:00p.m. Admission is free. If you need additional reasons to attend, here is our Top Ten list.

Guest Speaker

It’s never too early to prepare your child for success.  Dynamic speaker Marc Carraway, Director of the Blude Ridge Governor School, will give a presentation in the GHS Media Center on January 22 @ 7pm.  This presentation is valuable for students as well as parents.  Mr. Carraway will address how to get your middle school and highschool students ready to succeed in college, including specific ways to prepare for the future.  He will also describe Blue Ridge Governor’s School and answer audience questions.
