Charting Their Course

There will be an informational meeting for parents of GCPS students entitled “Charting Their Course” by GHS Principal Francie Ball and GMS Principal Johnette Burdette. Mrs. Ball and Mrs. Burdette will outline the various routes to graduation, the credits and courses needed to graduate, what options are available at GCPS, and how to plan which courses your child should take to earn his or her diploma. The meeting will be held in the GHS cafeteria at 6PM on Tuesday May 10, and is cosponsored by the Gifted Advisory Committee, the NAACP, and all of the PTAs. It is never too early to begin planning for your child’s education, so please plan to attend this important meeting!

Successful Blood Drive

This past Thursday the SCA held its annual blood drive to benefit patients in the Metro Richmond area. Close to 80 people signed up to participate, and 50 units of blood were collected.

Thanks to Ms. Gargiulo and Mrs. Hall for helping GHS students and faculty reach out to the community.
