All-American Kicker!

Colby Cooke has been named to the Parade All-American team, a great honor shared by only 53 other players from all over the United States. And, he is the only kicker selected for the team.

Colby, a senior, hit 17 field goals during the past season, one of them an amazing 51 yards.

Colby will enroll at Vanderbilt in January 2013 to take full advantage of the scholarship he has been awarded. He says he is undecided about his major, but is leaning to Pre-Med.

The entire Bulldog community would like to congratulate Colby on his selection to the All American team. We are very proud of you, Colby.

No Bullying!

January is the Virginia School Boards Association sponsored Bullying Prevention Month. Our schools are continuing our year-long effort to eradicate bullying from our communities.

Students are being reminded to wear their orange bracelets and keep in mind the anti-bullying pledge they signed in November.

We must all keep in mind that bullying can also happen online, not only in hallways and classrooms. Be mindful of what you say and do, both online and in person.

Special Guest

Artist AndrĂ© Lucero visited Mrs. Long’s students today and spent the morning painting a portrait of a student. We hope this will be the start of a long venture to help our students fulfill their artistic aspirations.
