Unity Through Harmony

The Singing Men of Ohio took a break from their spring tour to visit GHS at the invitation of Mr. Burch, a former member of the ensemble.

The Men performed religious and secular music, demonstrating their versatility and talent. The smaller Section 8 a cappella ensemble also performed, and Mr. Burch joined them onstage for a cover of Jay Sean’s hit song Down.

After the performance, the singers answered questions from the audience, and encouraged students to cultivate their talents and follow their dreams.

Video of the performance is available for viewing or download.

Sounded Great

Not only did they receive perfect scores but they also hosted the large event. Mr. Sykes would like to thank all the parents and students that, guided, sold concessions, tabulated, assisted with sight-reading,set the stage, checked bands in,helped the judges, moved chairs and stands, helped the other directors, cooked on the grill (in the pouring rain),went to the store, set, swept, mopped, removed scuff marks, and of course played the perfect performance. You guys are the best!
