...and yet ANOTHER article reaffirming the need for: objectives, feedback, and analyzing data to determine what concepts must be retaught, as well as to whom.
Before reading, keep in mind the following:
1. Feed Up means to give clear goals/objectives. (We must inform students where they will be going, what they should be focusing on.)
2. Feed Back must relate to these goals/objectives.
3. Feed Forward means to use data to determine what we must reteach and to whom we will reteach it.
4. How cool would it be to create an armory of common assessments (...and not just 3 marking period tests in one year) that are utilized by everyone in the department? Examples: essays, portfolios, monologues, retelling, labs, paintings, real world projects.
