10/18 Last day for AR tests for MP1

10/20 Open gym 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Attention any young man interested in playing Basketball. Coach Athey will have an open gym each Wednesday starting on October 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

10/22 Freaky Friday dance
The Freaky Friday Dance will be Friday, October 22nd from 7 to 9 PM. There will be Wii games, karaoke, Dance-Dance Revolution and a costume contest. Return your slips to your homeroom teacher by Wednesday, October 20.

11/1 Cheerleading Clinic
All ladies interested in trying out for the GMS Cheerleading Team this year, there will be a 3-day cheer clinic starting on November 1. Interested cheerleaders need to attend this clinic. There will be a 2-day tryout period starting on November 4. In order to participate in the clinic and tryouts, students must have a sports physical form on file with the school.  The form must be completed and turned in to Mr. Gordon no later than OCTOBER 28.

“Together We Can” is the theme for the 2010 GMS PTA Reflections Contest. Categories include: Film, Dance Choreography, Essays, Photography, Music Composition, and Art.
Need help?  These teachers are available to provide guidance on technique and technical skills: Music - Mr. Sykes; Photography - Mr. Mabry; Film - Mr. Hancock; Art - Ms. Tolson & Mrs. Rohrer; Essays - all English teachers. 
DEADLINE IS NOV. 5.  INFORMATION AND APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN THE LIBRARY.  CASH PRIZES!!!

Spirit Week
This is Spirit Week, Thursday is Hat Day (the hat must be off in the class room) and Friday is GHS Spirit Day. The 6th Grade will wear white, the 7th Grade wears yellow, and the 8th Grade wears red.

10/14 Picture day
Picture Day will be this Thursday, October 14th.  Choose the package you want to buy and bring the money with you that day.  Turn in your money in a completed packet to the photographer the day of picture taking.
