Goochland Middle School is pleased to announce a new website that aims to improve our school. We call it the ”Eagle Eyrie”. The Eagle is our school’s symbol of pride and an eyrie is another term for a lofty Eagle’s nest and is pronounced air’ ee.
This website is for our students to make suggestions, report incidents, and ask questions with the goal of school improvement. The best part about this site is that the students will have the option to stay anonymous!
Questions and suggestions will be reviewed by administrators and/or school counselors before being placed onto our Eagle Eyrie website. This ensures that inappropriate material and/or student names will not appear online. Incident reports will be fully investigated and acted upon as deemed necessary.
Students may access this site at home, at school in the library media center, or in any other place where the internet is accessible.
How to access the site:
1. Go to Goochland Middle School’s website: http://www.glnd.k12.va.us/index/gms/
2. Click on “The Eagle’s Eyrie”
3. Read and follow the directions on the Welcome page.
4. Make a Suggestion, Report an Incident, or Ask a Question.
Be aware that this site is a work in progress. We will soon add a “Frequently Asked Questions” page and continue to fine-tune the website as we see fit.
We encourage your child(ren) to check out and utilize the site to help improve our school! Please feel free to call if you have questions or concerns at 556-5320.
