Goochland High School Teachers to Appear in Webinar

GHS educators share what they've learned in the first year of a trial with a so-called 21st century classroom

This Thursday, May 17, GHS Social Studies teacher Mrs. Erin Yearout-Patton will be joined by instructional technology resource teacher Bea Cantor in a free webinar hosted by the Innovations Committee of the Virginia Society for Technology in Education.

The innovations committee of VSTE is charged with uncovering and promoting innovative practices with technology in education. VSTE is a 5000+ member professional development organization for preK-16 educators in Virginia and beyond.

Yearout-Patton and Cantor presented earlier this year at the EdTech conference held in Petersburg, Virginia on a model for the “21st century classroom.” The two will be sharing their experience with the intersection of pedagogy (teaching and learning) with state-of-the-art technology, including laptops, an interactive white board, and iPads.
