What happens when you give students a real challenge? They rise to the occasion! This year, Mrs. Kimberly Berry’s Design and Multimedia class at Goochland High School was tapped to provide marketing designs for a community effort to raise awareness of what is available around Goochland. Sponsored by the Goochland Chamber of Commerce, this effort challenged Berry’s students to design a logo and design content for use throughout the community. William Davis, a senior at Goochland High School, won this “buy local” design competition! This was a great experience for all of the students and we thank the Goochland Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring this real world learning experience for the students who all learned and grew from the adventure. The chamber treated Berry’s students to a pizza party for their efforts, too! Congratulations to William, and look for his design when you shop!
