Book Fair Ends Tomorrow!
The Reading Oasis Book Fair is nearly over. In-school sales will end on Thursday, November 7th at 1:30 PM. Be sure to visit!
If you are not able to come to the school, you can still order books through the Online Book Fair! Purchases made online still benefit RES. The Online Book Fair is open until November 15th!

WILD About Grandparents
RES is WILD About Grandparents! Tuesday, October 29th is Grandparents Night. Grandparents are invited to trek through the Randolph Reserve for some WILD adventures!
Special events include:
Meet terrific teachers and learn about wonderful work in the homerooms.
Explore the savanna in the Encore classrooms.
View the “Wild About Art” exhibits in the Art room.
Jump & play like the animals in the Multi-Purpose room.
Get a family portrait taken at the Outpost.
See the latest improvements in the Courtyard Camp.
Be on the lookout for Ranger Crowder!
Take time to rest for a moment & enjoy some reviving refreshments at the Watering Hole!

6:40 PM - 5th grade Marimba Ensemble performs “Marimba Mojo”
6:50-7:30 PM - Children will guide their grandparents as they go on safari.
GCPS Clothing Drive - October 21-25
During the week of October 21st-25th, the RES SCA will be collecting new and gently used clothing to help Goochland families in need.
The clothing collected will be donated to the Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services program. Their mission is “to provide access to health care and basic human services to Goochland community residents who are in need of assistance.”
Collection bins will be placed in the front office, the entrance to the Multi-Purpose Room, and in the Library-Media Center. Thank you for helping our community!
RES SCA members made posters to help Goochland County Public Schools collect new and gently used clothing for Goochland families in need.

Keep voting for GHS Coach Fowler (and RES parent!) on USA TODAY’s poll so that he will be chosen as the Best Head Coach in Region 2. Voting ends at noon on Friday, October 18th. Students at RES have been using spare time after they have completed their assignments to vote, too!
