Parents: Be sure to read the Goochland County Public Schools Elementary Parent-Student Handbook and the Goochland County Public Schools Code of Student Conduct. Both of these manuals contain important documents which must be signed and returned to school this week.
GOOCHLAND COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS ELEMENTARY PARENT-STUDENT HANDBOOK:
Acknowledgement of Receipt Form
This form notifies the school that you received the handbook. It states that you understand that you have the right to disagree with school/school division policies or decisions. (page 2)
GOOCHLAND COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT
Parental Statement of Notice of Student Conduct Requirements
This form notifies the school that you have received, read and understand the “Parental Responsibility and Involvement Requirements” in the Code of Student Conduct. (page 3)
Acceptable Use Policy
The Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is a guide for the safe, ethical, and responsible use of our computer system and must be signed to grant permission for students to access the computers at school. (page 3)
Authorization to Photograph/Videotape Physical Likeness
This form grants or denies permission for GCPS employees to photograph your child and use his/her image in connection with newsletters, GCPS websites, brochures, videotapes, news releases, or television broadcasts. (page 5)
DIrectory Information
Choose which information may be disclosed about your child that may be released by the school. Information includes your child’s name, age, dates of attendance, height and weight (for athletics), awards and honors, yearbook photographs, address, and telephone number. (page 5)

SCHOOL FEES
In addition to the documents listed above, school fees are also due. The $25 fee is broken down into two categories: $20 are for Instructional fees and $5 are for your child’s subscription to receive Weekly Reader. Checks for these fees may be made payable to Randolph Elementary School.
PTA DUES
If you would like to be a member of the Randolph Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the annual dues are $5 for an individual or $8 for an entire family. Checks may be made payable to RES PTA.
