Acceptable Use Policy

Be sure to sign and turn in your child’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) form.

If students have not turned a in their AUP form from the GCPS Code of Student Conduct Handbook, they may not use the computers.  This is a county-wide policy and must be followed.  The AUP states that “Before students or guests are permitted access to the computer system, the AUP from the Student Code of Conduct must be returned to the school, signed by the parent or guardian if the student is under the age of 18, or by the student, if age 18 or older.”

Teachers will keep a list of students who have turned in their forms so that all faculty and staff will know which students are allowed to access the computers.

More information about the AUP can be found on the GCPS website and via the following link:

Dropping Off & Picking Up Students

The front doors to the school will be locked until 8:00 AM. If you are bringing your child to school in the mornings, please do not show up before 8:00 AM.  Teachers & staff do not report to work until that time.  At 8:00 AM, the doors will be unlocked and students will be asked to go to their classrooms.  Students must be supervised at all times.

Parents dropping off their students to school in the mornings
Please park in the side parking lot and bring your children through the multi-purpose room to enter the school.  To ensure our students’ safety, do not bring students across the bus loop and into the front of the school.

Carpool
Please stay to the left of the school and drive your car through the designated carpool lane.  Students will be getting out of their cars at the new multipurpose room.  This is also where they will be picked up in the afternoons.

Minnieland & Bundle of Joy
Students who go to Minnieland or Bundle of Joy in the afternoons will be picked up in the multipurpose room area.

YMCA After Care
Students who are in the YMCA After Care program can be picked up from the side doors to the cafeteria.

**As always, if there are any changes from your child’s normal afternoon schedule, please send a note to school or call the office no later than 12:00 PM on the day of the departure change.
