From the east:

• Take River Road West (Rt. 6) to Goochland Courthouse
• Continue West on Rt. 6 to George's Tavern
• Turn Right onto Hadensville-Fife Road (Rt. 606)
• Continue approximately 1.5 mi.
• Continue and turn right (still on Hadensville-Fife) and continue 5/8 mi.
• School is located on the left.

Take River Road West (route 6) to Goochland Courthouse, continue west on River Road West to George's Tavern. Turn right onto Hadensville-Fife Road (Route 606), continue approximately one and a half (1.5) miles. Turn right (still on Hadensville-Fife Road), and continue 5/8 mile to the school, located on the left.

From the west:

From I-64 take exit 152 for VA-629 toward Hadensville. If coming from I-64 West, turn left at Old Fredericksburg Road. If coming from I-64 East, turn right at Old Fredericksburg Road. Turn right at Broad Street/US-250. Turn left at Old Fredericksburg Road. Take a slight left at Three Chopt Road. Continue on Hadensville-Fife Road. Byrd Elementary School is on the right.

Goochland Elementary & Specialty Education Center

Locally, or from the west:

• Use Rt. 6 (Patterson Avenue/River Road West) to Goochland Courthouse
• Continue west for one mile, past the new library on the left
• School is on the right, past the old Goochland High School

From I-64:

• Take I-64 west from Richmond to the Goochland/Oilville Exit
• Turn left, and continue 1/4 mi. to Broad Street (Rt. 250) turning right.
• Continue on Broad Street (west) for 1 mi. and turn left on Fairground Rd.
• Continue 6 mi. on Fairground until the intersection with Sandy Hook Road, Rt. 522
• Turn left on 522, continue 1/4 mile, and turn right at the light onto River Road West (rt. 6)
• GES driveway is second on the right, the Specialty Education center is the first driveway on the right.

Using Patterson Avenue (Route 6) aka River Road West:
Take Route 6 to Goochland Courthouse. Continue west for one (1) mile, past the new library on the left, to the school's second driveway on the right, past the second stop light west of the village of Goochland. The Specialty Center's entrance is about 600 feet before the entrance to GES.

Using Interstate 64:
Take I-64 west from Richmond to the Goochland/Oilville interchange, turn left, continue one-quarter mile to Broad Street Road (route 250). Turn right onto Broad Street Road. Continue on Broad Street for approximately one mile, turn left onto Fairground Road (route 632). Continue six miles to the intersection of Fairground Road and Sandy Hook Road (route 522), turn left onto Route 522, continue 1/4 mile to the stop-light (intersection of Sandy Hook Road and River Road West). Turn right onto River Road West (Route 6, west) 1/10 mile to the school, second driveway on the right. The entrance to the Specialty Center is about 600 feet before the Entrance to GES.

Randolph Elementary

Using Patterson Avenue (Route 6) aka River Road West:
Take River Road West (route 6) to the intersection of River Road West and Cardwell Road (route 670); turn right onto Cardwell Road at Crozier, Virginia. Continue approximately 3.5 miles to the intersection of Cardwell and Sheppard Town Road (route 639); turn left onto Sheppard Town Road. Continue 1/10 mile to the school, located on the right.

From I-64:

• Take I-64 west from Richmond to the Goochland/Oilville interchange
• Turn left, and continue left onto Broad Street Road (rt. 250) east.
• Continue .4 mi. to the intersection of Cardwell Road (rt. 670), and turn right
• Continue 1.5 mi. to the intersection of Cardwell and Sheppard Town Road (rt. 639), turn right.
• RES is located 1/10 mi off the intersection, on the right.

Using Interstate 64:
Take I-64 west from Richmond to the Goochland/Oilville interchange, turn left, continue one-quarter mile to Broad Street Road (route 250). Turn left onto Broad Street Road. Continue approximately one mile to the intersection of Broad Street and Cardwell Road (route 670). Turn right onto Cardwell Road. Continue approximately five miles to the intersection of Cardwell and Sheppard Town Road (route 639); turn right onto Sheppard Town Road. Continue 1/10 mile to the school, located on the right.

Goochland High School/Middle School Complex (Grades 6-12)

• Use Rt. 6 (Patterson/River Road West) into Goochland Courthouse
• Continue approximately 1 mi., past the new library, and stay to the left.
• Pass Goochland Elementary School on the right, and continue 1 mi.
• the New Goochland High School is located on the right of Rt. 6.

Using Patterson Avenue (Route 6) aka River Road West:
Take River Road West to Goochland Courthouse, and proceed approximately 1/2 mile beyond the second stop light west of Goochland Courthouse. You will pass Goochland Elementary School. The high school complex is located on the right-hand side of the road.

Using Interstate 64:
Take I-64 west from Richmond to the Goochland/Oilville interchange, turn left, continue one-quarter mile to Broad Street Road (route 250). Turn right onto Broad Street Road. Continue on Broad Street for approximately one mile, turn left onto Fairground Road (route 632). Continue six miles to the intersection of Fairgrounds Road and Sandy Hook Road (route 522), turn right onto Route 522, continue 1/2 mile to Bulldog Way. Turn left onto Bulldog Way which is the back-entrance to the school. Bulldog Way empties into Route 6 (River Road West). The high school complex will be on the left-hand side of Bulldog Way, and visitor parking is in the front of the high school building, facing River Road West.

Goochland High School is located on the left-hand side of the complex. Goochland Middle School is located on the right. Both schools employ separate main offices and school administrations.

Using Interstate 64:
Take I-64 west from Richmond to the Goochland/Oilville interchange, turn left, continue one-quarter mile to Broad Street Road (route 250). Turn right onto Broad Street Road. Continue on Broad Street for approximately one mile, turn left onto Fairground Road (route 632). Continue six miles to the intersection of Fairground Road and Sandy Hook Road (route 522); turn left. Continue 1/4 mile to the stop-light, and turn left onto River Road West (route 6, east). Continue into the village of Goochland. Turn left onto Courthouse Loop (route 1201) and follow signs to the administrative building located behind County Courthouse Square.

Where is Goochland?

Goochland County is located in central Virginia, and borders along the James River. Traditionally rural, and growing, Goochland County borders with Henrico, Hanover, Powhatan, and Louisa counties. Goochland is just west of Richmond, Virginia’s capital.
