Local artist volunteers time to work with art students

Goochland resident Andre Lucero returned to work with students at Goochland High School who take art with Caroline Long.

Today (January 3) Lucero spent about two hours painting one of the students who volunteered to sit for the portrait. As he painted, he spoke to the students about the brushes he was using, the colors he was mixing, and the process of starting with rough, broad brushstrokes to then refine the work.
