Poster Contest Winner from GHS

High School Art Students in Charles City County, Goochland County, Hanover County, Henrico County, New Kent County, and the City of Richmond participated in the 2011 Crime Stoppers Poster Contest this spring. Posters were to depict the work of solving crimes in the community.

Six jurisdictional winners were finalists for the grand prize.  The grand prize winner was Evelyn Brett Alvis, a tenth grader at Goochland High School.

Congratulations to Brett on her achievement! Brett’s poster will be displayed in Metro Richmond area schools. She also wins a $1,000 Savings Bond Grand Prize. She will be presented with her check on April 28th during the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers Board of Directors meeting.

Officer Chris Cranor coordinated this student art opportunity. Brett’s art teacher is Mrs. Kim Bachmann.
