Mr. Haley honored

Mr. Ron Haley was recently named 2010-11 bus driver of the year for Goochland County Public Schools.

Mr. Haley drives for the high school and middle school.  This is his 3rd year as a bus driver for Goochland County.  He was nominated by Mrs. Francie Ball, principal of GHS. This year’s runner ups include Mrs. Lisa Coles for Byrd Elementary School and Mrs. Lynn Carter, Special Education Driver.

Mrs. Ball had this to say about Mr. Haley:

“Mr. Haley is a pleasure to work with.  He has high expectations for his students.  He wants to make sure that if a student is in the wrong, the matter is handled. Team work--that’s what it takes to get the job done. He is our go to driver for field and sports trips.  You will see him at most sports events.  Mr. Haley believes in supporting the school system but most of all supporting the students.  In my opinion he has performed his responsibilities in an outstanding manner.  Thank you for a great year!”
