The Richmond Area Reading Council is sponsoring a conference on October 18, 2011 in Henrico County. Several Goochland educators will be presenting.
Amie Potter, Jennifer Gates, and Elizabeth Ferguson of Randolph Elementary School will be presenting a fun-filled session on Teaching Beginning Readers Using 21st Century Skills (k-5). In another session, GES teacher Krystle Demas will be presenting a hands-on session entitled Integrating 21st Century Skills into Your Literacy Block.
We’re proud to have our teachers participate in this local event and lead for others with their presentations highlighting the use of technology in the promotion of 21st century skills. Dr. Geyer has posted more about this outreach on his blog.
