Literacy Academy for Teachers

Goochland will offer a four-day academy designed by literacy experts this fall at no cost to our teachers. It will be held on Tues/ Wed, September 20/21 and October 4/5 from 8:30a to 4:00p each day. The workshop will be held in Studio B at Goochland High School. Participating teachers will receive a notebook with all course materials, all interactive curricula associated with the academy, two professional resources that will be used during instruction (Small Group Reading Instruction, Tyner & Green; 50 Content Strategies for Adolescent Literacy, Fisher, Brozo, Feey & Ivey), as well as 30 professional recertification points.
