Medieval Day Celebrated at BES

Mr. Hopkins teaches students about chivalry during the April 4 Medieval Day at BES

Students at Byrd Elementary School recently celebrated medieval times with a number of activities throughout the day. These included chore challenges, a fair detailing daily life, a medieval marketplace with juggling, jousting and badminton, a mummer’s theater, and stained glass activities. This event was planned by a fifth grade BES student as her 2011-12 GRIP project!
