Are you in need of an expert? Would you like to sit down and chat with a real scientist?
Then come on over to the Goochland County elementary schools because we have resident award winning scientists! May 10, 2011 Dr. Underwood and School Board Members acknowledged students from all three elementary schools for placing first, second and third on their Science Fair projects. These award winning projects shared research on the effect of coins on electricity, the most aerodynamic shapes, the smoke detector that goes off first in a fire, the effects of friction, the best way to stop cut fruit and vegetables from turning brown, the effect of osmosis on and onion cell, which chips are the greasiest, and which colors absorb more of the sun’s energy. If you would like to view the winning projects, they are on display at the GCPS School Board Office.
