Special Education documents to be destroyed.

The staff at Goochland County Public Schools is planning to destroy some outdated special education information in the near future.

These documents include records and student collections of evidence for special education students who took alternate assessments administered between Fall 2000 and Spring 2008, including the Virginia Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP) and Virginia Grade Level Alternative (VGLA).

Parents of students with disabilities who have taken the VAAP or VGLA tests are asked to contact , the division’s testing coordinator, at (804) 556-5610 or via e-mail if interested in obtaining the records/collections.

GCPS asks parents to schedule an appointment with Mrs. Streagle in order to obtain the records prior to September 4, 2009.
