Technology Tips on Video
In an age of “screenagers” and just-in-time learning, we recognize the powerful role that well-produced video clips can offer learners of all ages. We have produced these video clips to help you (educator or student) to gain the little bits of insight necessary to “get the job done.”
The video clips range between 1 minute and 7.5 minutes in length, depending upon the topic. From doing research in the library, to preparing a presentation file, we’ll show you the tips that can make a difference.
While we’ve prepared this content for folks in Goochland’s secondary schools, we realize other visitors to our website might want to watch too. We’ve provided both external and internal links for each video—depending upon who you are.

Host John Hendron is Supervisor for Instructional Technology for Goochland and has been using Macs since 1988. He's an active member of VSTE and is host of a well-known podcast, TechTimes Live!
Media Specialist Deb Cross manages library services at Goochland High School. Mrs. Cross is a certified media specialist and a former special education teacher who loves infusing learning with technology.

Many of the videos linked on this page are streamable via Quicktime while on the GCPS network. For Goochland students and employees, this is the preferred method of watching these videos. It will provide the highest quality display with the least amount of wait-time for the videos to load and playback.
These videos were produced for the students and staff of Goochland County Public Schools. The primary producers/authors of the videos are John Hendron and Deborah Cross. The videos were produced using a variety of software applications, including Apple iMovie '08, FinalCut Pro, Motion, and iShowU.
The logo for this page was designed by Sean D., a digital graphics student from Goochland High School. He won the logo-design contest which ended on December 7, 2007. We thank Sean for his winning contribution!
